Second paint out for me in this charming, historic community of Salisbury, NC Lots of things to paint there. This house was built in 1899 and has been lovingly restored by this California couple since 2011. They were so gracious and welcoming! Great experience!

Nice job! I painted that same house a few years back, and had the same experience.  Nice folks!

Great time at the Salisbury, NC OctoberTour Paint Out last month.  New to the plein air experience, I am loving it but find I have much to learn in dealing with the elements, speed and other nuances.  I have spent the last couple of weeks in the studio finishing this painting of this 1899 circa house formerly owned by the local saloon owner.  This lovely couple was very gracious in their southern hospitality true to when this house was in its glory days.  I have since joined the Railway Studio plein air painters every Friday morning and look forward to getting to know this group as well!  I'll post a photo of this painting as soon as I finish.  Hope everyone is having a fantastic day!
