10.5x8 oil on linen. 10am with breaking sun. I love Broad River thru Chimney Rock with beautiful boulders and cascades! One of my new favorite places.

Steven I purposely kept the distant tree line dark and greyed down as a foil for the sunlit trees suggesting a cloud shadow.  Of course the light was always changing.  A real fun place to paint!!

Scott, this is beautiful.  So many interesting shapes, especially the dark area behind the yellow and green trees.
