WILDACRES ART WORKSHOPS
JULY 15-21, JULY 22-28, OCTOBER 15-21, 2018 WILDACRES RETREAT, LITTLE SWITZERLAND, NC
Announcing the Wildacres Art Workshops for 2018. Below are the classes that will be offered, the teachers, and the tuition.
WEEK II: July 22-28, 2018
*--Abstractions in Cold Wax and Oil, with Elena DeLaVille ($650 + lab fee)
*--Interpreting the Landscape in Watercolor, with Dwight Rose ($650)
*--Plein Air Painting, with Greg Barnes ($650)
*--Studio Painting (Oil and Acrylic), with Bob Nulf ($650)
*--Drawing and Pastels, with Michael White ($650)
--Photography: Exploring the Natural World, with Michael O’Neill ($650 + lab fee) --Pottery: Form, Finishes and Fire, with Annette Sidner and Seth Barendse ($700 + lab fee) *--Printmaking: Screen Printing, with Patrick Lindhardt ($650 + lab fee)
Check-in will begin at 3:00 pm on Sunday, July 22 and with checkout after breakfast on the final day. Tuition includes all classes and room and board, (6 nights and 17 meals), based upon 2 people per room. Classes will be held each morning from 9:15-12:15, with teachers being available as needed throughout the day.
For complete class descriptions and teacher biographies, please see the attached information. Supply lists for each class will be provided by the teachers after registration. All classes are available on a first-come basis. To register, please complete the attached form, along with a deposit check of $300 made payable to Amy Rice Blumenthal. Deposits are refundable until June 15, 2018 for Weeks I and II, and Sept. 15 for Week III. Mail to Amy Blumenthal (WAW), at 4015 Foxcroft Rd., Charlotte, NC 28211. Final payments will be due no later than June 15, 2018, for the July classes and Sept. 15 for the October class.
Wildacres is a conference center offering its facilities to nonprofit groups that conduct educational or cultural programs and seminars. There are 2 lodges, a dining hall, a library and auditorium, a pottery and printmaking studio, as well as multiple classroom spaces.
